I admit I am a 'gear head'. It used to be much worse, but now I limit it to computers, software, and guitars.

I've used computers to help make music since the early 90's and even before that if you count using some of the really old hardware based sequencers. Today I mainly use Apple Logic Pro and Native Instruments plug-ins.
